Traci Fong

I have been involved with figure skating since 1996 – the first year my daughter started competing! I have served on my home club board and on the James Bay Region Board. In 2004, I joined the Section Board and have held several positions within. I enjoy seeing our skaters achieve their goals!

Wendy St. Denis

I have been a figure skating volunteer for over 26 wonderful years, starting at the North Bay Figure Skating club, way back when my daughter and son skated. They have long since quit skating but I’m still here helping wherever I can!

Erica Armstrong
Vice Chairperson – Administration & Finance
I skated when I was young, through to varsity level in university. I have since worked as both Events Coordinator and Administrative Director at Skate Canada Northern Ontario. I also enjoy skating photography. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the sport I love.

Therese Bilsborough
Vice Chairperson – Teams
A friend of mine hooked me into the figure skating world 13 years ago. Over the years I have held various positions at the club, region and section level. I enjoy giving back to a sport that has played an integral part of my children’s lives.

Lyn Mullins
Championship Chairperson
I became involved in figure skating when our daughter started in the CanSkate program. This is my 25th year with the Skate Canada organization as a board member of the Azilda, North Bay and finally the Fort William Figure Skating Clubs in positions too numerous to mention, as well as sitting on the Thunder Country Region and SCNO Section Boards for numerous years. I enjoy volunteering in all aspects of this sport, helping out whenever I can, and especially the numerous people I’ve met along the way.

Donna Green
Data Specialists’ Representative
I have been involved with Figure Skating since 1989 when my daughter took up the sport. After several years of volunteering at competitions I decided to write my exams to become a Data Specialist. In 2010, I became the Data Specialist representative on the Section Board.

Mary Henderson
Judge/Evaluators’ Representative
I began my skating journey in Copper Cliff as a child of 7, continuing into my years at U of Waterloo on the varsity team. In my real life career as an Engineering Technologist, I have been an active member of clubs in Edmonton, Milton, Ottawa and Sudbury. I have held varied board positions since returning to Sudbury area in 1991, including CCSC Club President and Rainbow Region Chair. In 2004, I took on the Judge/Evaluator Chair at the SCNO Section Board and have held it for over 8 years. Development and retention of officials is my first priority. I do my best to create opportunities for training and promotion of judges and evaluators, to ensure the future staffing of our events and test days will be healthy and strong.

Nancy McAllister
Coaches’ Representative
I have been involved in the skating world for many years. I find volunteering is a great way to give something back to the sport.

Tammy Eckman
Skaters’ Development Chairperson
I have been involved in the sport of figure skating for 17 years – since my children started skating. Since then I have sat on the Club Board, Region Board, and Section Board. My children no longer skate, but I am still here as I hold all skaters hopes and dreams close to my heart and I strive to help them go as far as they can.

Kathryn Makl
Skating Programs & Volunteer Development
I have been volunteering within the skating community since my daughter and son started skating 17 years ago.
I have been involved at the Club, Region and Section level, tech rep’d our Regional InterClub and am currently training to be a data specialist.

Linda Kazulak
Synchronized Skating Representative
As a parent of a synchronized skater and a former member of an Adult III synchronized skating team, I have found this discipline to be very interesting. It develops skating skills and technical ability as well as promotes team spirit and loyalty within a team, a club and a community. In addition to a great skating experience, synchronized skating develops friendships and memories which will last a lifetime.

Brenda McEwen
Algoma Region Director
I originally started on the Section Board as the Recreation Director in 1996 organizing the CanSkate, CanFigureSkate and CanPowerSkate clinics. Following that I have been on and off the board a couple of times as Algoma Region Director. I have been a member and volunteer of the Sault FSC for well over 25 years. I am also an Introductory Data Specialist and help out at competitions held in Sault Ste. Marie.

Russell Walker

I have been involved with figure skating since 1995 when my daughter first started to learn. At the Haileybury Figure Skating Club I have been secretary, treasurer and president. I have volunteered at 5 James Bay interclub competitions. As regional director I hope to get our region more involved with skater development by holding more seminars.

Lorie Tudhope-Latimer
Near North Region Director
I have been involved in figure skating at some level for eleven years. Having two children in the sport for all of those years has made me appreciate the work of the people who make it all possible and I am proud to be part of such a dedicated group of volunteers. I look forward to making a positive contribution on the section board as I represent the Near North Region.
