Level 1 Technical Official Training

SCNO is currently seeking applications from individuals who are interested in becoming a Level 1 Technical Official.
Technical officials work as a team at competitions to identify the elements performed and their difficulty level according to set criteria. The Level 1 Technical Official is a new position which will allow fully trained candidates to serve as an assitant technical specialist or as a technical controller for events in which elements are called no higher than level 1 . For more information, please download the Level 1 Technical Official Description.
Ideal candidates will be former skaters over 18 years of age who are not currently coaching or officiating and are seeking a way to reconnect with the sport. Familiarity with the Cumulative Points Calculation System and a basic ability to identify elements are assets. Regardless of whether or not you fit the profile of an ideal candidate, all interested individuals are invited to apply by filling out the application.
Pending sufficient interest, training is likely to begin in March or April; however, specifics will be determined at a later date.
